Fugly. A lot of the bodywork is supposed to look aggressive I guess....but comes out looking....garish.

The GMC is supposed to be the "classier" Equinox but you'd never tell from the outside.

Surprisingly, the blunt shape has the same coefficient of drag as the previous-generation Corvette.

How is that possible?

The trucklet is MUCH smaller in person than what it looks like in pictures.

But it's just received the kiss of death.

It's been pictured with Jet-Skis..........

That is funny, I think it looks bigger in person that in the pictures. I also think it looks better in person.

I'm sure it has quite a bit more total drag once you factor in frontal area, but its coefficient alone?... I could easily see that being on par with the Vette.

The look of a vehicle doesn't really tell you all that much about Cd. I remember the Lexus LS430 had one of the best Cds to date at .25 when it came out in 2000... yet it's a fairly boxy upright looking front end.

It does look better in person. I just wish the fender flares were smaller. They make the wheels look too small for the vehicle and the Terrain has the biggest wheels of all Thetas. 235/60/19 while the new Equinox with 18"s has 235/55/18, mine has 235/65/16 (for now). The Terrain tires are a whole 2" taller.

It's like a GM SUV humped a car doggy style until it crushed it and only the tiny wheels are left sticking out.

LOL.

I'm not a fan of the fender flares either. They just look way out of proportion, for the rest of the vehicle. If they made them any bigger, they would just meet in the middle.

Similarly I remember the late 80s Eagle Premier having a better Cd than the Ford Taurus, even though the Premiere was a boxy old Renault and the Taurus was the poster child for aerodynamic shapes.

Having said that though, it does seem a stretch that the squared-off Terrain has a better Cd than the smooth and swoopy Corvette.

True that...

I was actually a little UNDERwhelmed when I saw it in person. I was expecting it to be buff and meaty, not dainty.

It's still a very nice package and the fact that it is less imposing in person will help the haters get over it.

I'd buy it over an Eq any day.

It's so awkward-looking. The Equinox is much more attractive (and yes, I've seen both in person).

It looks like they wanted to give it a chopped look and failed.
