No, it is no Corvette, same as Corvette is no Porsche. I think the two appeal to different types of people. I would love to have a Corvette, and I would love to have a Porsche.
The sound of their flat-6 is just music to my ears (and many of you may disagree, which is alright).

ya is this even a redesign? im not a huge porche guy but i still think i should be able to tell the difference between the old and new cars. I mean i even caught the differences they had in the redesigned vw bug and pt looser and i thought those were too slight. Maybe a side by side comparison would help. But i have to admit i do like that porche sound, and the cars arent that bad, even though i would never buy one.

For some car companies, evolution involves making radical changes at regular intervals to their products in order to maintain their appeal.
If you want a car that drives like a couch and looks like a toilet, it's a good choice.
Oh, and they sound like crap, too. Oh, and they still haven't fixed the rear-engine weight distribution design flaw. Oh, and they're so overpriced that their average profit per vehicle is nearing $30,000.
Never mind, it's just a bad choice all around.

A Porsche 911 drives like anything but a couch.
What makes you think it's a design flaw? It's a design choice. And it doesn't deter the Porsche from being one of the best handling sports cars out there.
This isn't your Corolla dealership. The higher the car costs, the higher the profit margin (usually). Then, Porsche being an exotic, you're at the wrong place if cost is a factor. However, I think their GT3 is nicely priced for what you get. Still, I wouldn't be able to afford one, but it's not as ridiculous as Mercedes SL AMG.

Oh, and Proche cars break alot.
They sound like a lawn mower. I know, I've got one in my sand rail (it's modified!).
Porche cost alot to modify. (I've got many Proche kills with my 800hp road Camaro - they always want to go from a 60mph roll!)
I guess if you want an investment, buy a Porche. I'd rather have real-estate. I'd take a Corvette Z06 over a Porche, you can beat on them, and, don't cost a million dollars to fix.

I'm not sure I buy the drives like a couch claim, but I like it anyway.

Have you guys looked at the fleet in centric's signature? I'm betting if he has the cash to own a dream fleet like that, he probably has driven/ridden in a 911 now and then...
Either way...
