Re: 2008 Malibu?

As I said before, this is NOT the RWD Impala.

Go back to the link. There's now a note at the bottom of the article that backtracks from it's initial report of this being the Zeta Chevrolet.

This is the FWD "volume" car. It's going to be the current Impala's replacement.

If the large RWD Chevy is called Impala, then this will be called Malibu. If the large RWD Chevy is called something else, then this will be called Impala.

Every indication is that the large RWD car will wear the Impala name, making this the new larger Malibu.

So, let's say Impala goes to flagship RWD. Malibu steps up and takes the spot of large FWD volume. What about midsize FWD volume?

Given the spyshots, it looks like another snoozer.

I don't really view Impala as being a "large" sedan anyway. I'm guessing a slightly larger Malibu could fill both markets just fine.

I have been anxiously awaiting the first pics of the next malibu because of the comments we have read about it in the past. There is nothing wrong with the car seen in these pics, but it certainly doesn't stand out in any way. Hopefully this is not the car I have been waiting to see.

Well, here's some pics of the new VE Holden Sedans. The new Chevy RWD Sedan will be based of this platform right?

My understanding is that Chevy's RWD sedan will be on a somewhat different platform. What that means exactly is open to interpritation.

Many of the same components, though.
