This isn't my cup of tea and I wouldn't probably consider to buy one, BUT, I am nothing but THRILLED to see what an "SS" buyer can expect from GM now! I have been working towards getting excited with the latest models that wore SS, but this is a statement that all models will get the full treatment. As the video mentioned, SS will mean something again for all models that carry the badge. It is slowly (but surely) moving to where Ford is with SVT, and Chrysler is with SRT.
Way to go GM!!!!
Now if you excuse me, I am going to mark another item off my "Things about GM that disappoint me" list.

I like the way these look on the outside, I think the HHR looks much better than the outgoing PT Cruiser. The interior is what I don't like, the dash is to flat and to much hard plastic, also I don't care for the tiny retro gauge cluster.
Regardless of that, the HHR SS is going to be cool, and will probably give some LT1s a run for the money.

I just don't really care for that color of red in an interior - it reminds me too much of the color that was so popular in the 80s, and those cars look like crap today - red seems to be more susceptible to fade and show uneven coloring over time. But maybe that has been resolved with these more modern cars...

Honestly, I got my HHR because I needed something with 4 doors to haul the first born around and I needed something econonmical. I've been somewhat surprised with the sportiness of mine though since my expectations weren't high. I bet the SS is a screamer.

I agree with this. The HHR is about as useful as a TB SS. Looks cool, can really go, really not practical for the segment. Very few buyers. I think they are trying to breathe life back into a car that is no longer selling like it was.
