Looks good to me, not my cup of tea, but it's nice looking.

Ehhh, the headlights seem too small in proportion to the rest of the vehicle. Thankfully they fixed the interior issue. Just looking at it is worlds better than the 800s. Actually, with the rate of the oil bubble right now, when these debut I could see gas being cheap enough for people to consider a new one. I'm still banking on Forbe's prediction.

Excellent. Reminds me a little of my 78 K5 Blazer which I miss very much. That was one of the things I liked about the Cheyenne pickup concept that was at NAIAS a couple years ago. The new Tahoe has some styling cues from the Cheyenne concept, and it looks awesome! It looks modern and agile. Has a little dash of Equinox in it too Nice interior, being more carlike will help widen appeal to women...

I am not saying that these trucks are any worse than the competition, just dont believe all the hype until we see it real world. Just like the high HP ratings, do you think the 300 4.8 is gonna be any faster than a 98 with 255hp?
It's still a standard of the industry.
Obviously, milage will vary between the driver how drives conservative and the driver who hammers it from stop to stop...

Re: 2007 Tahoe, First Pictures
I for one place a lot of stock in EPA ratings, especially of GM vehicles. My Z28 averaged 16 MPG bombing around BG this past week. On the open road, going to and from BG averaging over 80 MPH when you ignore gas stops, I averaged 25.3 - 25.7. What's my car's EPA ratings? 16/27. Its 8 years old to boot...can you get any closer than that?
Want another example? My GP is rated 20/30. I routinely get 22-24 MPG in daily driving, which is 80% city. When I went on vacation 2 months ago with it, following my dad doing 70 I got 29.6 Normally I get 27 on the highway, but I do at least 75-80. Ashleigh's Grand Am averages 30 on the highway (she currently has a 260 mile DAILY commute), and her car is rated 22/30.
Any questions? My bosses '00 Tahoe beats the 18 MPG highway estimate by getting a REAL WORLD 20 MPG highway, and my dad routinely matches the 19 MPG highway rating of his '05 TrailBlazer. I know some cars are nowhere near their EPA ratings (17 MPG PT Cruiser, anyone?), but GM products seem to do well.

GM, WTF were you thinking?
It looks like an Expedition with a Chevy nose slapped on.
I guess I've purchased my last Tahoe for quite some time.
Thanks, but, uh... no frickin' way!

Well, I'll reserve my 'full' judgement for when I get to drive one and get a hands-on feel for the interior, but my initial reaction is that this is a huge improvement over the previous model in terms of interior and exterior design. The motors and transmissions sound like they'll be beastly too. What about the chassis?
I don't care for the center stack on the dash, though... still looks typical GM piece-mill. The nav looks aftermarket, and the wood trim just looks terrible (but to be fair I very very rarely see fake wood trim that I think looks good, I say go real, or don't go at all)... silver or black soft touch rubber or glossy plastic or any other kind of trim would look much better
