why do they call the carryover a "classic" cant it just be the Silverado SS??

why do they need to make the name classic if they are using the older platform..like the Malibu Classic.. just kinda wondering..

and thought the Silverado was being cancelled?? or is it?? one more year running???

 

You've got to differentiate it somehow. There are 2 different versions of the Silverado this year, the old and the new, both 2007's. What would you call it?

Classic makes it sound old...and yes its the old body style but what other SS pickup truck is there?? the Silverado SS...

should of just been called the SS

Ahh, I didn't catch you were talking about the SS in the title, thought you meant the regular Silverado.

 

looking on chevy's website, I see that there will still be every old 2007 model there part of the MY. I guess that is why they are going to call them classic. I would find it an easy descision if I was in the market for a truck, get the model that actually looks new

 

The "Classic" name probally isn't finished yet. I'm pretty certain that the current Impala is going to overlap not just with the upcoming RWD Impala (possibly called Monte Carlo?), but it will also overlap the new bigger Malibu as well.

 

So they'd have a fwd 'impala classic' and a rwd 'impala'? Calling a fwd car a 'classic' seems odd, but what else can they do?

 

that new truck is going to be sweet. but i see what you are saying, it must be the left overs from 06 or the truck wast ready like they tought it would be. but that truck looks so much better. WOW good going chevy

or call the older Impala the "new" Caprice Classic..

 

I thought the new "Impala" was supposed to be styled after a early/mid 60's Impala? Seems like the MC name wouldn't work here?
