2007 Honda CRX

Autoweek announced they had information that Honda would be releasing the CRX in 2007. Autoweek also announced that they had information that the 2007 CRX would be equipped with the 2006 Si drivetrain. That's right, 200hp and a factory LSD.

Not official pic.

Re: 2007 Honda CRX

They should boycott the Si drivetrain and go with something more torquey, at the very least the 2.4L from Acura TSX. It's an SUV, not a Scion xB.

That explains why it looks too low to be the SUV the current CRX is.

Uh, were you people alive in the 1980s?

CRV = SUV

CRX = small, light, sporty 2-seater (now apparently bloated and oversized like everything else on the road)

Re: 2007 Honda CRX

CRX= One of the greatest Hondas ever produced.

But there have been rumors of a new CRX since '01 or so, so I doubt this is anything new. When Honda was developing the RSX/new integra, alot of people saw the spy pics and said,"CRX!".

Here's a rendering/photoshop someone did on a Honda board:

Slide the rear down a bit, so the rear hatch is at a little more of an angle(imagine RSX), and it would satisfy me quite a bit.

Re: 2007 Honda CRX

Didn't like the CRX back in the 80's, and if that thing is representative of what the new CRX MIGHT look like, still not a fan

I think that would make a great SI.

Re: 2007 Honda CRX

uh...that first pic makes me sick
the photoshoped one...not bad

I loved my 91 CRX Si...the last of the breed. If they do the new one right....xtremely light weight, exceptional handling...i'll buy another!

Re: 2007 Honda CRX

I have an 86 crx hf as a daily driver and it's great for just that, a reasonable car for everday use. It gets 40+ MPG new and handles great in all weather conditions. It won't win any races though; 58 HP. (LOL)

It might be a good race against a 55hp Geo Metro.
