Is Dave Hill officially done yet?

I found it interetsing / a little funny that the steering wheel mounted radio controls appear the first year he is gone... he was always so set against them being on there (which I will never understand).

All it needs is 'Home Depot' slapped on the side and hood.

Sorry, orange is still one of the worst colors for vehicles other than company cars or taxis.

I'd like to see some new colors on the C6.... it'll be 3 model years now, and so far, all the new colors have replaced colors that are so similar, most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference without seeing them side-by side:

Precision Red to Victory Red
Millenium Yellow to Velocity Yellow
Magnetic Red to Monterrey Red
Daytona Sunset Orange to Atomic Orange

I'd like to see maybe a Green of some sort.... a Carbon Gray Metallic ... a Navy Blue....

Fairway Green metallic from the early C5s would look so sweet on the C6.

I TOTALLY agree!

I LOVE that color!!

In fact, when I ordered my 97 S-10 ZR-2, I ordered it Fairway Green... it was also available on S10's for a year or two... I ended up not getting that truck because the dealership (now defunct) was incredible decietful.

I ended up with a 97 ZR-2, but couldn't find one in Fairway Green (why I ordered it in the first place) so I ended up with Dark Cherry Metallic...

Fairway Green is one of my favorite colors of all time.

I would've liked to see something really useful, like +25 HP out of the LS2.

427 badges for the hood of the Z06. AWESOME! IMHO they should've been there from the start....why wouldn't you want to mine that Chevy heritage?

Ya, I'm guessing that the LS2 will not change if the 6.2l engine is coming soon... would have been nice to see a bump in hp for 2007 though.

I wonder how many peoiple will add it on themselves, since it's a home-grown aftermarket product...

I love the idea, myself. Would like to see it from the factory, actually.

Ahhh, I still think that orange belongs on a muscle car, not a super/sportscar.

It was something about it not being something a "true sports car" should have. But I guess heated seats and nav are ok

Ya, I just never got that at all...

I believe the quote he used whenever he was asked about the steering wheel controls was something along the lines of "Steering wheels are for steering"...

It's pretty darn hard to find any fault with Mr. Hill, but I will never understand his stance on that issue.

Bah, unless you're hanging on by the spokes, you'll never notice them. He hung paddle shifters on the wheel, and you don't steer w/ those. Sounds like just a personal quirk of his. Everyone at Corvetteforum is excited about the change. He should have listened to the enthusiast and put his ego aside on this one, if in fact it was him that held them up.

Did anybody catch that the keyless system now has a mechanical key. I guess going totally keyless didn't go over?

I am not to fond of plain ole orange as a color, but I do like all of the new metallic orange paints that have been coming out lately. I am currently working on a model Corvette that I painted close to Daytona Sunset Orange. I can't wait to see Atomic Orange. It seems orange is really in this spring/summer all the clothing stores I've been to lately have tons of orange shirts for men and women.

It always had a key for the rear lock cyl above the plate that opens the hatch in the event of a power or fob failure. It was a separate key, now it's integrated into the fob.
