Alright!!! First of all Kris don't worry about all these jealous people that are down grading your work because they can't do it themselves. I think the design is perfect and I'm sure that your next one will be too. You have alot of talent and I'm glad to see that your putting it to use. Also, about the front end of the car, if your worried about the aerodynamics of the car, well the car that the car was designed from is just about the same and I don't see people talking about the non-aerodynamic style of them, and I see them woopin up on 3rd and 4th gens all the time so enough of that. And with any concept car, no matter what you do to it, the final product is always different. GM if they were to come out with this design would make it more safer, altering the body, make it more roomier, and probably play around with the front end. There are many ways to make this work. A couple of you guys don't know anything about cars or just own a Camaro and never touch under the hood. Know a Camaro then try to bash on it. Don't downgrade something you can't do yourself. Me on the other hand I can't use photoshop like that to make realistic cars but I am very talented with my hands and I can draw. I have made many concept Camaro's, I have use the 67 and the 70's models. If any of you think you can do a better job then I want to see it. I'll even put mine up against yours. If there is a retro version, that's the one. Mustangs are going to retro and will discontinue afterwards, so how are they traditional? They are ugly and should never be compared to the style of the Camaro, they are two totally different cars. Another thing, if you were to make a new camaro out of the current 4th gen, there is really nowhere to go, you would have to redesign some things, but in that you can see why chevy used the 3rd gen for 4yrs and the 4th gen for 4yrs. But I can't really say until Ive seen one. I'll really have to wait till I see Kris's version. Until then I'm just here to stir up a bunch of crap !! Don't Hate..... I'll have my designs up soon, and if you think you can do better than KrisH I want to see you redesign his retro and see if you get attention. I also seen a Chevelle on one site that looks like it copied the Impala and it sucks. That's a discrace to the name.

 

Thanks for the kind words about my work. No one around here has bashed my ability to do the work that I do though. They have complained about the retro look and the impracticalities, etc., which I can understand, but as far as giving props to my work and its quality, everyone has been a pretty class act.

As to the opinions you presented, I agree with some, I disagree with others, but all in all: I am staying out of this one.

In my opinion, I didn't design the difinitive, end-all 5th Gen Camaro, mine just managed to draw in an insane amount of interest and press, so I am happy about that. I'm glad I captured what many people feel should be the next Camaro. I'm also happy to hear the negative responses, it just gives me something to shoot for.

Glad to see that its finally getting IRS, the cobra has had it for a long time. I am dissapointed about it not being a hatch though, i feel it makes the car look sleeker and makes the so called trunk space more usealble, plus you have a better field of view. I am also glad to see that they are keeping the SS package, i was always a sticker for the SS name tag. I for one will be worried as to how the car will look, more like a mazda 6, then a sports car? I like my car, but sometimes it sucks getting in and out of it, i always hit my feet on the side pannel near the hood release. I am glad to see that t-tops are still alive and kickin as well. Hopefully this car will not only be performance oriented but also towards being a usefull daily driver as well.
