That front end is the ugliest thing I've ever seen...Trevor Creed's sledgehammer is still swinging for the fence. 
I don't think I've seen a vehicle designed with so much 'box' in mind since Gm in the mid 80's.
It's probably be a big hit with the American buying public.

Seems to have the disproportionately skinny tire early 90's Range Rover vibe to me. Looks ok except from the front, but it's one of those designs that might look better the more I see it.

Is that right? Slap a picture of the recently departed cherokee up next to it and they are VERY similar. The only diffrence is this one is bigger.

It reminds me of a 1980's cherokee larado. The dual headlights is almost and exact take. Is this supposed to be a modern cherokee? Commander=Cherokee? Jeep needs a mid sized Suv inorder to compete the Liberty is WAY too small and couldnt "trail rate" its self out of a paper bag, the wrangler is over priced for what it is, the GC is starting to get nice and the SRT-8 option will be sweet. But it lacks a mid sized SUV. Just my take.
I dont think it looks that bad. Could always be an aztec
