Did anyone see the standing mile acceleration test in September's Road & Track? A Hennessey Viper (convertible model) had the highest finishing trap speeds (210mph), and the second highest times (about 25 seconds... don't have the article handy). Fastest times went to a Champ car, with about a second lead on the Viper. Oh, and I'm not counting the F-18, which ran 23.x at 308mph.
So this coupe model should be even a little bit faster, which is absolutely incredible.

Nice to see Hennessey come out of his financial troubles and deliver such beautiful machines.
I remember a horror story of one Viper owner who was waiting for months with a promise of delivery any day, only to discover some of his car parts have been taken off and sold.

Good Gracious, I think I just wet myself.
I've said it before, and I have to say it again now: I think the Viper COUPE is a little bit ahead of the Z06 in terms of styling (only). I'd take the Z06 any day of the week, as it is a far superior car overall. For some reason the Viper roadster, with its different wheels and (obviously) different bodywork, doesn't do so much for me. But the Coupe version, with the better wheels and different profile, turns me on.
That particular Viper, in black and with the Hennessee extended front clip, is just plain sexy. Throw in 1000 hp?
