2006 Chevy Tahoe

The Tahoe for 2006 will be instantly apparent as a GM vehicle, but changed in many ways from the current model. Start with the grille: Its bold, in-your-face design dominates the front end. Larger headlight units above a large bumper contribute to the stronger appearance. The bumper dips in the center to make way for the new grille. Also new are the hood and fenders with large flares for the wheel openings. At the rear, the ventilated rear pillar is covered with longer side glass. Minor changes in the mirrors and rub strip are seen in the side view. Expect the interior to be freshened, as well. Sorry I copuldn't find any pics yet, if anybody has found pics, please post them.

I think there's a pic in either the popular mechanics or C&D magazine you lifted that blurb from.

There was a picture attached to the original news article. The article is almost verbatim to what you wrote above as your own post.

Seems someone did some cutting & pasting.

if I remember the pics I saw correctly, they weren't high quality and the changes aren't big. Larger, more sqaure headlights, a front end that very slitghtly looked like the previous Denali/Escalade, and two kinda cool hood bulges.

I'm with you on that one.

I think those shots look very Toyota-ish and bland looking. Chevy did a nice job on their TrailBlazer, Equinox, and Colorado; why can't they make an attractive full-size truck anymore?

I can remember when year, after year, after year.....I always thought Chevy trucks were the best looking trucks out there.

In the past few years I'd say they are at the bottom of the barrel--design wise.

It's a real shame that Avalanche/Aztek disease wasn't contained before it spread to the trucks. From what I've seen of the new Tahoe, I'm pleased with the new design. I got a peak at a pic of the next Avalanche a while back and it was similar and a vast improvement over the current design.

That's just a rendering. Check the other links to the spy photo.
