One of the Fords that caught my eye was the Ford 427 Concept. I think that 427 may be in reference to it's possible 427ci displacement right??? I don't know anything about this car or it's powertrain but i'm just assuming. Does anyone have info on this?

That was actually the only big surprise for me. I'm guessing that'd have to stand for displacement, but I have no idea what it could be.

I mean, think of the cars that Ford put a 427 in that were famous...

The old Shelby Cobra, the GT40, the Galaxie.

The Shelby is pretty much out, Shelby would probably sue them if they made a roadster.

The GT40 we know about, supercharged 5.4.

Most any Mustang got a 428/429, but maybe it's a Mustang. Maybe a big displacement Marauder type fullsize wearing a Fairlane name? I heard they were bringing back that name, and a new full size replacement.

This is all off the top of my head, but it doesn't sound too far off.

Edit: Looking again, we also have a 2004 Mercury Monterrey

So yeah, with new full sizes coming in, I think that's what the Ford 427 will be.
