Herd nothing but good things about the looks.

The new Malibu, the "Super Corvette", and a Camaro convertible should make Chevy pretty exciting this show season.

 

bro, you can't just leave us hanging like that. whats new with the vette?

 

I'm guessing the S/C corvette "stingray" hopefully.

 

And it will have about 1 bajillion horsepower.

 

and weigh a metric gram. As opposed to the 500 weighed a metric ton.

Are we still supposed to be seeing the retro Impala concept in Detroit?

 

I might also add that when the Camaro Concept was brought on stage, it received a standing ovation.

One dealer friend of mine said "Scott -- it was just amazing -- I had tears in my eyes and I don't get choked up about much......the car is just sex on wheels!"

 

If there was no tears for the Malibu, I think GM is in great trouble...

just kidding.

 

The Malibu was a beautiful car. It should be a winner in the marketplace if it gets competitive powertrains and pricing. (And you know it will)

And, yes, the Camaro showing was very cool indeed with the '69's cruising on the stage before the concept came out. It got the mood right.

 

Looks good . Can't wait till they unveil it to the rest of us .

The "Blue Devil" Corvette that has been talked about here on and off for the past couple of years. Should be at one of the shows and be on the streets by mid year.

This is the 1st time I haven't been associated or in any way connected with any show. I may end up at LA's press previews, & I still have pretty good ideas what's coming for the shows, but as far as what's going where, not certain.

BTW:
The noteworthy pre-production models at this year's shows:
Mustang Bullitt, the Dodge Challenger, the new CTS, the forementioned Malibu & "super" Corvette, 1 new Pontiac sedan, the revised Ford Five Hundred, the revised Ford Focus, the Dodge Avenger, 2 Saturns, the revised 2008 Viper, Buick Lacrosse Super.

Concepts or disguised production directed cars to date this season:
GM, at least 2 RWD vehicles; Chrysler, one sedan and one 2 seater plus an SRT vehicle; Ford, a FPV display (haven't gotten any lists).

Speculation based on info & rumors to date:
Cadillac CTC, production ready Solstice coupe, Torana based Pontiac, a performance version Ford Fusion, Camaro convertible, new Lincoln sedan, a new Ford that's positioned between the Focus & Fusion, production version renamed Chrysler Firepower, new FWD coupe based off the Dodge Caliber chassis, at least 1 "concept" showing a version of the restyled Chrysler LX car.

 

What about reskinned Colorado and Canyon, they are certainly ready for an updated interior? And I can guess 1 Saturn is the next Vue (Opel Antara) is the other an Astra?
Hmm...Very interesting.
Is this the coupe Fusion that a few people swear is coming and widely known about?
Only natural to see a vert after we see the hard-top.
