I didn't know DCX was going to make a Nitro truck?

I'd tolerate it if they threw in the 392 and T56 and called it an SRT8 truck.

The front end reminds me of the original Dakotas.
I don't like it.

All DCX interiors are starting to look the same to me.
Exterior is much better than the current version but then interior is horrible.

Well, all I can say is that Dodge is literally piling rebates on the Dakota because the pricing is insane...my rep ADMITS the company knows this, but because "the pricing structure was set when the vehicle debuted in '04, and our rebates were factored into that, so we can't change it until the truck is redone someday."

WTF????????????????????

Does that make ANY sense to ANYONE here? I called him out on how GM went to value pricing across the board, and got a blank stare in return. With that being said, say what you will about the Dakota, but its a nice driving, pretty capable truck. My 2 major complaints are now addressed...the nose and the fact that the 4.7 engine was an embarrassment, making only 235hp and 260hp in low and hi output versions...

Hopefully that 4.7 will trickle to the Grand Cherokee and Rams as well...we needed a better bread and butter V8 for those scared by Hemi MPG and prices...

FWIW, I really like the Dakotas otherwise, and with the $6,000 in dealer cash they have on '06s right now, getting a nicely equipped SLT extended cab with the H.O. 4.7 for about $22k is pretty easy...and a nice truck for the $$$. BTW, by the look of it, that dash is the new Durango dash I believe...

I dunno, I've owned a 94 and still have an 01 dakota. I kind like the new looks and the 290HP 4.7L will certainly make those trucks fun to drive. My 01 is a quadcab with the 230 HP version of the 4.7 and it never lacks any get up and go.

My ram with the 4.7 is another story though.

I guess I'm the only one who liked the old design to the new one. I just wish they had put the new 4.7 into the old design.

Why is there a hole in the dash on the passager side?
