Re: '06 Accord coupe spy pics

Not bad.

Accord coupes are one of the few Japanese cars I find to be attractive, actually.

There are hardly any differences at first, but i see they changed the front and back lights... i guess this is what you call a mild refreshening.

I like the new front lights, actually. As for the back, it is hard to tell from those pictures what the new treatment will look like.

i like how they covered all the "H" symbols so that you can't tell its a honda

looks exactly the same except for maybe the tail lights.

not sure who they're trying to fool.

I thought the same thing.

To the untrained eye it looks exactly the same as last years car.

Since I have an untrained eye, it does look exactly like last years to me.

Wow...different projector housings for the headlamps, didn't even bother to change that anonymous, unattractive face. Actually, they've added creases and character lines to the side and trunk, but it's still the same practically, and it's also a rip on the new G6 design. But the G6 is very attractive, and itself a rip on many cars too.

I think it looks good for a 2 door point A to point B car.

Looks like a Honda. Not a bad thing, just a little bland for my tastes. If I was in the market for that style of car, I'd take the G6 GTP coupe over it in a heartbeat!

Yeah, it looks identical to the current one. Except for a bit more plastic chrome in the headlights and some yellow in the taillights.

Uhh...they've had those same taillights since 2003. I'd say it's the other way around...

I agree...from the 2nd pic the side rear angle...reminds me of a mix of G6 with GP rear end.

Re: '06 Accord coupe spy pics

So Honda is producing another coupe for senior citizens? If the choice is between the Solara, Monte Carlo and Accord coupe, I'd have to say "none of the above."

Midsized, midprice, mainstream front wheel drive coupes are the sort of dull products that only middle aged people can appreciate - not exactly a growth market. Hasn't Honda noticed the broad appeal of the Mustang?

If Honda really wanted to do something worthwhile, they'd engineer a decent RWD plaform instead of clogging America's highways with ever more Accord derivatives.
