I like production 2005 GTO minus the hoodscoops and wing. That just seems to go against the rest of the cars understated looks. I think it'd look better with a 2004 wing/hood.

The RA6 GTO concept is what the GTO should have looked like. In the meantime we have the boring one that isn't selling so good.

 

The SEMA/Woodward GTO should be the 05 GTO.

As for the Woodward GTO, sorry GM couldnt throw in millions of dollars into new molds for a plant that will only make about 30k GTO's over the next 2 years.

 

It was actually a minority of people asking for scoops...they just wanted them so bad that in every freak'n thread they had to post it 10 times. I don't think its the same people that are complaining about them now.

Scoops are also just an option I believe.

 

But the GTO is a limited production aimed at enthusiasts who want a bit more then a drag racer. Everyone threatend GM with death if the GTO didnt have scoops.

I think a set of the Coupe4's fender flares would have been a better option....but hey, what do I know.

 

I would never pay money for a sh|tty looking car like that. The LS1 Camaro/Trans Am look a TON better than that poorly designed POS. The only thing it has going for it is the GTO name and 400hp.

Now if it was the Woodward GTO, I would buy one in a second if the Trans Am WS6 didn't exist.

I mean, look at this f****** thing! Woodward It blows the other GTO out of the ******* water! Damnit GM!

Those scoops are getting to be rediculous! I'm seeing them on trucks, cars, SUVs, Vans, everything. Come on, GM...

 

The orange one is bad, the second pic is a 05 GTO w/ some package thats gonna be offered

 

One more thing...the way GM did the scoops also pisses off a lot of people. If they would have done it like the Woodward then things would be great, but instead they put those crappy ghey look'n ones in production. Way to go GM

That's my problem with it. They look "tacked" on or afterthoughts. It'd be nice if they took the route of the Camaro SS and ws6 firebird by actually making it look like a Ram-air hood instead of a standard hood with tacked on scoops. They should have went with a more seamless look.
