Weld in SLP bolt in SFC? Why?

I see it reccomended in here fairly frequently to get bolt in SLP subframes and then weld them in, why is this?
Also how would you go about welding them? At the plates? athe plates and bolts?

how close do they sit to the rockers? would you need to C channel them to weld the to the rockers or can you just weld the straight over by bending the tab?

Welding in SFC's makes them much stronger. Instead of the load being applied at the bolted points, it is applied across the entire welded area.

I'm aware of why you weld them, but I question why it's reccomended to get the bolt ons and weld themin rather than just get the cheaper weld ins and weld them in

Heh, my bad

Sounds kind of dumb to get the bolt-ins and then weld them. Once you weld them the bolts become negligible. I'd say get the weld-ins and go. Can't think of any reason to buy the others, unless there is a difference other than the bolt holes? Maybe the bolt-ins are thicker?

Basically it's because some people put the bolt-ins in, let it be for a while to see if they like it. Problem is, some people think it's "good enough" and don't weld them in, and over time they get a little loose.

But yeah, basically so they have they choice, that's why they do it. It's just as good to get weld-ins.

The SLP weld in's come unpainted/unfinished and have to be painted or they'll rust. The bolt-on's come powdercoated already.
