For anyone in the Midwest, this is one of the premier high speed road courses in the region. It's over 4 miles long, and has also played host to numerous CART and Indy events over the years. I've "raced" there twice in my WRX, and once in my Firehawk.

The other car club that I'm vice president for rented the whole track for the weekend of Saturday Apr 16 and Sun Apr 17. There are currently 62 spots filled. There are numerous Corvettes and F-bodies (Camaro and Firebirds), a slew of Mustangs, 6 M3's, 2 Evos, and a Golf R32. We have room for another 50 + vehicles. There are no more than 30 cars on the track at once, meaning cars will not be bunched up (more than 1/10th mile spacing). Sessions are 20 minutes long (about 7-8 laps), 4 sessions on each day. So you can expect to get in well over 50 laps, or 200 - 250 miles. Cost is $340 for the weekend, or you can split the days with another driver for no extra charge.

I'll be helping run the event, and will be available to assist any CamaroZ28.com members as well.

Man that sounds nice! I wish I would be done in time, but April 15th is probably when I wil be starting the engine for the first time.

 

Feel free to show up just to watch or ride along as a passenger (bring your helmet!).

 

I plan on hitching a ride this time out, and next year tearing it up next year myself! Can't wait to go!
