What exactly do all these suspension mods do?? Like what kind of torque arm should I get and what does it do?? Also where is a good place to buy it from? Also i'm not control arms where can i get some good ones adn what exactly will it help?? I'm not looking for lowering springs b/c with my lt's my car will be too low. what are qa1's?? and what would they do and where can you buy them at?? I'm wondering about all of this b/c i have no clue about suspension and i'll never find out if I don't ask and i'm looking to sneak up on some ppl when i run them in the 1/4mile
If your goal is to sneak up on people in the 1/4 mile, you're in the wrong forum.
If you want to corner, you've come to the right place. Pick what you want to get from your car and go toward that goal. Some mods will work toward both 1/4 mile and cornering. But most conflict between the two. ie - For Cornering you want a soft rear sway bar and stiff front bar. For the 1/4 you want a strong rear bar and as little front bar as you can get away with. Maybe even none. The stock torque arm should be good enough unless you are putting down huge power numbers. The stock control arms can be 'boxed' by welding another piece of metal across the bottom thus making them more rigid. Of course, buy new ones looks better. Poly bushings tend to bind when cornering but are good for the strip. See? Decide what you want, research the best mods to get you there, THEN execute the plan.
