? with Stainless Line Install and Bleeding
This coming weekend I take the car to Mid-Ohio for my annual track day/driving school so I have been getting the car ready....
I installed the Earl's Hypefirm line kit as follows:
1. Removed and replaced front and rear lines...I did not drain brake fluid before doing this or open cap.
2. Couldn't get center rear line loose, so left it as stock, hose was still in great shape.....
3. Topped off brake fluid and began bleeding at ABS module...
4. Bleed Right Rear, Left Rear, Right Front, Left Front.....
Here are my questions:
1. Is there anything wrong with leaving center rear brake line as stock with all others being stainless? Obviously, I am losing some of the benefit of installing a braided steel line, but should still be better than all of them being stock.
2. When I was bleeding the fronts, there were no bubbles coming out when I pumped the pedals, but if I let of the pedal and let it sit for a couple of seconds, bubbles would come out on their own and would continue on and on, I was running out of fluid so I closed the bleeder valve topped off the fluid and took the car for a ride....Seems to brake fine. Should I continue to bleed until there are no bubbles anywhere regardless? Or is there something wrong somewhere since there are bubbles coming out when I am not pumping on the brakes?
Thanks,
Aaron
