Not exactly f-body news, but what caught my eye was Lou Gigliotti bought two of these cars - a name a lot of us at least heard of..

I love the Le Mans series! Looking forward to the competition! Too bad it is GT2 and not GT1... need more GT1 competitors. In a way, it is embarassing to be in GT2 with a cap between 450 - 500 hp...

GT1 can be 550 - 600 hp!

 

Seen this article before. I found it a little confusing because the picture is of a "Daytona Prototype" and not a GT-2 car. GM has been a little disappointed that no one has entered GT-1 to challenge them. So the rumor is that they(GM) have encouraged Lou to enter the highly competitive GT-2 class.

 

It should be interesting to see the N/A cars against the turbos around the circuit. It would be better for the N/A on the endurance runs. However, last year there wasn't much attrition in that class.

 

I really enjoy the american le mans. i wish "other" racing associations used production cars to build on.
