poly bushings

Someone told me that poly bushings weren't good for autox? Can anyone tell me if this is true and why or why not.

Can't comment on AutoX but they're not for me regarding track use. They can bind, squeek and generally deform w/o returning to original shape. Good hard rubber is better for competition. Rod ends are the best for performance.

I use Energy Suspension bushings and have no trouble with them.

Um, it depends on where you use them. And even in the LCA's they can be not-to-bad as long as you *know* what else the effect. Most folks who complain about them in the rear LCA's teamed them up with big rear bars and heavier rear springs. All 3 things together can lead to too much roll stiffness. Like always, it's all about the package.........

FWIW, I won my National Championship in a car that had poly rear LCA bushings. But it also had a smaller rear bar than my own very similar car with rubber bushings to compensate.
