Question Nitto question?

I am going to be purchasing tires soon and need some opinions. I am going to do one of four things.
1)Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP's P275/40ZR-17 on all 4 corners
2)Yokohama AVS ES100's P275/40R-17 on all 4 corners
3)Nitto DR's on rear and Firehawks up front
4)Nitto DR's on rear and AVS ES100's up front

Which is the best street set-up? I was wondering if the DR's handle well or if they're strictly a drag radial? I might do a few 1/4 runs this year and possibly an autox or two but mainly these tires are for street use. Right now I'm leaning towards the firehawks, any opinions?
Thanks

Drag radials handle pretty well, especially the 17's. I have autocrossed with Nitto DR's on all four corners. The Nitto 555RII is even better handling, and hooks up almost as well. They are only offered in a 275/40/17 though. I have been running the RII's for street tires for well over a year, and really like them on all corners. I think you will too.

Thanks Chuck,
How fast do the RII's wear? I'd like a tire that's going to last around two years. I wouldn't really be abusing them so do you think they'd last 15-25000 miles?
Thanks

With some autox, a little road racing and hard street driving I get 10-11K miles out of the Nittos. Since they are cheaper than most "performance" radials, and perform better, I figure it is a wash over time.

Yeah I would do RII's in the front and drags out back of equal size. You are running 275/40/17 tires on the WS6 right? If so then that will work great.

However if you want the best mileage you might want the R2's o all 4 corners so you can rotate them. They should still hook up ok at the track also since they're a sticky compound Goodluck

I'm a wierdo, I'm running 315.35.17 Nitto DR's out back with 255/40/17 Kuhmo V700 VictorRacers up front Hopefully it's balanced and competetive come race time! We'll see!
