Help with Koni SA/ground control needed

Does anyone know where I can get a wrench to take off the top hat part of a Koni SA shock? I am trying to do my Koni SA/ground control coil over kit. Originally I was told that some machine work needed to be done on the top part of the shock in order to get the threaded collar to fit over it. I was told by Strano that this was simple and is done all the time.

I have gone to two machine shops and they said that they would have to make a special wrench to get the top off. I spoke to someone at Strano parts and they said I should be able to buy an "offset wrench"??? to do this. I have no idea where I can get one though.

So anyone else out there install ground-control adjustable coil-overs with the Koni SA shocks? How did you get the spring perch off and the threaded collar on?

Thanks!

I don't know how different the SA is from the DA but when I got my GC coilovers, I did not try to take the top off the DA shock. I took it down the street to a small machine shop and just told him to machine the top cap thinner so the sleeve would slide over it. I gave him the sleeve and showed him what I meant. Took him less than an hour and worked great. Cost me $8. I know he was concerned about how he was going to position the whole shock but I guess he figured it out.
