Thumbs up Finally got my ZO6 brakes on the car!

Finally got some time to put everything together. Everything went together real well, no problems with the install. Bob's brackets were tight on the tolerances (as they should be), and a perfect fit Gonna take some getting used to modulating these things, hammer them too hard and they'll invoke the ABS pretty quick here's some pics

Looks good. They look good on a Z06, too . I find that when you get to where you are braking from the 140 range on the track, don't be surprised if you cook a set of pads in a 2 day weekend--I'd take an extra set of pads as well as extra rotors to the track.

Anybody know Bob's contact info to get all the parts I need to do this? Did you have to cut the wings of the spindles also? Thanks a bunch.

Bob is currently out of the brake adaptor business. I sold my last set at the end of March. There are 125 sets of my adaptor brackets in use, and I have seen some change hands in the past. You might post a WTB ad in the classifieds (make sure the previous owner sends you all of the custom mounting hardware).

Yes, my brackets require the removal of the pad location wings.

Speedspecialty used to have them listed on their website, but I didn't see them there anymore.

Hey man looks awesome! If you dont mind me asking how much more do they cost than just ordering the regular brakes that came on the car?? My rotors are warped to hell..and would love to upgrade the brakes. Thanks man.

well, at this point the adapter bracket is no longer being made, so you'd have to find a used set. otherwise, I personally have about 760$ or so in my setup, usually it costs somewhere around 850 or so for all the stuff.

why you're asking that I dont know, but anyway, it isnt overspray. It's an area on the bottom of the frame where the GM applied undercoating has come off. this car has never had any paintwork or bodywork done to it.

I dunno, maybe he thought you painted the vette calipers. Overspray's a common mistake when painting calipers on the car (so you don't need to remove the brake lines).

Pics look good BTW.
