Doing BMR A arm install....

....and LS1 brake upgrade at the same time. Man was the driver side lower A arm a PITA! But after bolting everything together (with stock spring and shock, for now) The Steering knuckle would feel as if it would bind on its pivot everytime I tried moving it on it's ball joint axis, right at the straight ahead point. I then hooked the tie rod up and remembered I hadn't greased the new lower ball joint yet, so I then greased it. Is this why it might have bond up? (should have taken the tie rod off to verify huh?)
Also After putting the brakes on and installing the wheel and tire I set the car down (I have only completed the drivers side so far) And it sat up fairly high so I pushed down on the car and it made a pop sound as it went down, and it stayed down. The pass side is still springy when I push down on it (stock setup) but the driver side is like really solid, no give at all. Is this because of the poly bushings?

No body has a clue? Guess I'll tear it all back apart this weekend before I tackle the pass side.

not too sure what happened, just remember to load the suspension before you tighten up the a arm bolts and the ball joints. or your torque readings will be wrong and your suspension will be preloaded. Trey

I think your onto something there. But, I guess I'll leave it as it is and just finish up the passenger side. I just got to thinking, when it gets aligned, they will need to loosen the bolts anyway, I'll let them worry about the preload.

I love the fact that I live not quite a half mile from an alignment shop .
Just sucks that I need to make an appointment, because they are a week and a half out .
