Did you hit something, or otherwise do something specific that caused it to break? I broke a Centerline at Thunderhill, I think it was a metal fatigue thing, from multiple shocks over berms. Or something. When it actually broke, I was just driving along.

Nothing special ( ie: nothing hit etc) and the break occured in 2 places near the hub of the wheel........my thoughts being, fatigue! Gary

Gary,
What tires are you using on the track? I am about to get some CCW 17x10's because Kumho and Hoosier strongly recommend a 10" width for their 275/40/17's. Hoosier says a 10.5" is even better. Kumho said I would notice a big increase in grip and reduction in tire wear using a 10" rather than a 9.5" wheel. The SS wheel is only 9" wide. If you are interested, contact me. I am working with John, the owner, to come up with a "shallow pad" wheel fitment for the C5 brake system. using the shallow pad version of his wheel gets the wheel down to the 18.5 lb weight range. He has street and racing versions of his wheels; I am obviously getting the race version. It even has steel inserts for the lug nut seats, as well as a forged alloy center.
