bilstein says HDs OK with 800lbs spring?

I gave bilstein a call asking if the off the shelf shocks and stuts were up to the task of controling an 800lbs front spring and a 175 rear. The guy said I should go with the HDs and that the HDs have a little better valving than the sports. should I take this guys word and just buy the HDs with out revalving? Or should I even get bilsteins? the other option is koni yellows, the adjustability probly would be nice.
I do know that stock replacement gabrile struts cant handle those springs, a year and there bouncing around

You don't need that much spring and I doubt seriously that the HD's can handle it either. You'll need a SERIOUS shock to control that. Why do you think you need 800 ib/in springs?

already have the springs in the car, got them from ground control.
this car is used for drifting, my conclusion on drif car set ups is, over stiff springs, over damped struts, large swaybars. maybe koni yellows can do the job. I

Well, I'll give you the uniqueness vote for drifting in a F body.

Since he keeps mentioning struts I'm assuming we're talking about a 3rd gen. If that is the case then:

A. The original poster should have mentioned it in his first post. We're not psychic

B. You can't really compare his spring rates against 4th gen ones due to the different suspension setups. An 800lb spring in his car may be equivilant to a 400lb spring in ours. I believe the technical term for this is called "wheel rate".
