ABS removal?

How do I go about removing my ABS? I have heard of guys buying the 3rd gen distribution blocks, but does this work? Are there any other ways to accomplish this on a 94 F-Body? And will this eliminate me from running in the FS or ESP races?

Thanks in advance!

Sam maybe you can offer some guidance?

It will remove you from F Stock.

Why do you want to do that? Even in ESP if you watch the really fast drivers, they rely on ABS to get maximum braking power and use that to their advantage. It's more of a help than a hinderance.

Good Question!

Mine doesnt work, and it's the third one I have put in the car. It has never work, and I dont believe that the ABS systems that they put in the F-Bodies (based on my experiance) are very good units to begin with. So I am looking to ditch it. Not to mention that they are VERY expensive to replace!

I would rather delete it, its cheaper! And if you are a good driver, you should be able to drive without it! Just my opinion...

Well then just drive without it, if the unit isnt working its in a bypass mode anyway, so its like you have no ABS system at all. If the light bothers you pull the bulb out.
Modifying the brake system will definitely get you bounced out of F/S, so if you keep it in and its just not working you could still run that class.
I've had the ABS/no ABS argument with several F-body autocross guys, and have no proof that defeating the ABS made anyone faster, its all in how you manage your braking. I seldom light up the ABS running slicks in E/SP, but used to get into it occasionally running street tires in F/S. If you're locking wheels up you're just coming in to corners too hot.
