Are 275/40/17's ok on a lowered car?

I have the corvette thin spoke 5-star chrome wheels. I need new front tires. Stock size is 245/45/17's. I'm wondering if any of you guys have had clearance problems when using 275/40's on the front of lowered vehicles. I know they will fit on vehicles with stock height because they came stock with the SS's and WS6's. I'm sure more than one of you Ram AIR guys have lowered your ride so let me know if there will be any issues. Just for reference I'm running the granitelli drop springs.

That's what I use on my street car... it's about as low as it'll go.

Hey guys, are the Kumho Ecsta MX's any good. They were rated decent on tire rack and they are very cheap.
