Thumbs up 11s and 315s on all 4 corners ...

I sure thought there would be more issues with doing this, but so far no rub. And I have G2 springs!

I did have to grind off that little "titty" on the spindle and am running a 7/32" front spacer. But other than that ... no problemo ...

And if you want your car to freaking turn, I suggest you get 11s for the front.

There is an on ramp close to my house that is a down hill, off camber "S" turn that I have down pretty well...with 275s! With 315s, I damn near wrecked by physically oversteering the car ... it wasn't a handling oversteer. I turned the wheel like normal and it shot across the road!

The front tires sit just inside the front fender lip ... almost flush! Talk about an aggressive stance ...

The wheels are AFS 17x11 50mm offset and the tires are Nitto DRs ...

Do you have pics, I have been considering this for a while. Do you have any tire rub on the fenders? I would think with them that close you might under hard cornering. Just curious how it looks.

I imagine tracking with tires that big would be interesting, hows driving it around in relation to that?

Also am interested to see how long the power steering holds up with something like that.........something I've thought about off and on, but I dunno

I'll get pics on Monday ...

The G2 springs are really stiff and a very short travel. But, I've only driven them on the street. It's tough to really push the car to see how it will behave.

My nephew has been running 315s for over a year, both track days and on the street. No problems yet. But we both have oil coolers on the PS fluid.

And a good friend ran them on his Formula for several years and I don't recall any PS pump issues ...

sounds like there's quite a few cars running around with this setup, wish we had the ability to see them

I've seen a few pics, just not many, and I'm not sure I really liked the look or not, but the thought is REALLY appealing LOL

Mitch,

How does the steering feel with 315's up front? I always considered them to be a "track only" setup assuming the extra width would make the steering heavy and/or increase the trammeling (sp?) problem these cars seem to have over uneven roads.

At slow speeds ... less than ~30mph ... steering is really heavy. But once you get up to speed, it feels like normal

And it does hunt ... again at the slower speeds ...

And it is a track only setup ... I wouldn't dare run this on street for any extended period of time ...

would you not want to run it on the street do to the tracking and the heavy feel?

hydroplaning I'm assuming would be more of an issue as well

All that weight and leverage has got ot be hard on the bearings and joints.

Yeah, unfortunately I believe the same thing, mostly about bearing wear. Lots of weight + lots of grip = ouch

I'd rather have a street set, and a track set, FWIW more driveline drag will hurt MPG a bit too.
