ZO6 rims

Anyone
Help

I bought factory zo6 rims for my 2002 camaro (b4c copo). From a guy here locally who was taking them off his 2002 ZO6. Heres the problem
The fronts fit fine. (17"-265/40s) But the back are a different story they are (18"- 295/40s) They look great only have 100 miles on them. But the rub in the back fender well - Imean they won't even turn. The guy thought they would fit, but they didn't. Ireally want to keep them . Do they make a spacer of some sorts for the off set or am I just out of luck.

There is bunch of people on here that have gotten them to fit. You just need to take a mallet and pound the crap out of your wheel well. Maybe spacers would work, I dunno. Do a search this has been discussed many times before.

dont most people run 295/35/18. that could be part of the problem as yours are a bigger overall diameter. i would suggest the BF mallet also.

Unhappy ZO6 Wheels

Sorry, I was incorrect on the tire size they are 295/35s F1 super tires mounted on 18" rims.
I talked to the guy I bought them from and he say that they had put them on a 98 SS and they fit fine. They must have changed the wheel well size or maybe the B4C copo optioned camaro is different, Anyone know? And then again he may just be blowing hot air.

Do not know if he was blowing smoke, maybe snorting something. They did not change the wheel well thats for sure.

Talking Got the Z06 rims to fit

Ok heres the deal; they fit great, all you have to do is use a rubber mallet and knock on a very small portion of the fender well, it was so easy. Its very soft stuff under there.
I only had to move it in about 1/8 of an inch if that in order to clear, all though I moved it about an 1/2 an inch or so (just incase I bottom out)
Thanks for all the help

or you could sell the tires on a corvette forum and buy tires that will fit without you beating the hell out of your car

I have 18x9.5 Z06 rims all around with 275/40/18 and mine fit fine. When I'm going excess speeding and take a somewhat sharp turn, it barely rubs so personally I think that is the perfect size.

ps-Traction problems went bye bye, cornering even improved noticeably
