What do you think about having a 18 x 10.5 Z06 rim in the back with 17 x 9.5 in the front?

Does anyone have this done on their F-body?

Reason why I was asking this is because my 17" Z06's look too small in the back. I wanted to fill up the wheel gap. So what do you think? If you have this crazy idea already on your car..ha ha I wanna see!!!!

18x9.5 up front and 18x10.5 in the rear is what I'll be doing next year. IMO a 17 up front and 18 in rear would look stupid. But by all means go ahead and try it.

 

I would go 18 x 10.5 on all 4

 

Why is this a crazy idea? The sizes you mentioned are the factory sizes on a Z06 Vette. Lots of people already have that setup. Personally I would go 18s all around, oh wait I did. Actually my next set of rims will be 18x10.5 in the front and 19x11 in the rear Z06 motorsport rims.

Paul when are you going to get your new rims man, I thought you were getting 20x10.5 all the way around?

 

I thought It would be crazy bcuz it would be on a camaro instead of a corvette. I wasn't sure how the rear would look with 18's. I don't think you would be able to notice a total "stick out like a soar thumb" appearance but I think it would look alright with a bigger wheel to fill that wheelwell. I could of sworn I saw a LS1 SS with 18' Z06 on the rear and 17's on the front when I was at Sac speedway once. The car caught my eye cuz the rear Z06's looked bigger. I didnt get a chance to look at it good enough. That's what gave me the idea for a 18' in the rear. I have 17's and now I want to go with 18's..kinda thinking about selling the 17"s but if 18's look sick in the back ..i'll just get em for the back. I might try fit a 18 inch rim and see how it looks first Anyways...just thought I'd check with you guys to see what you thought and see if anyone had done this on a LT1/LS1 camaro. I was also wondering how that would affect my suspension as far as lining everything up, handeling/cornerning. My suspension is stock right now unfortunately.

Tires_Smokin check this other thread, lots of people have 20s on their Camaro's. Paul will be the first on the board with 20 inch Z06 rims though.
