I think it's funny when someone does an appearance mod to their car that is only visable like 1% of the time the car is parked or in use. Then the person makes a webpage and every picture taken is with that appearance item visable.

Kinda neat, but I would rather have gull wing doors.

 

I was going to say that those doors don't lift high enough to easily get in and out, then lower down I see that they also swing out almost as far as the standard arrangement. An A for effort but C- for results.

 

I've thought about this before. If done right, the "Lambo door" idea would work very well on an F-body in cramped parking spaces. Imagine not having to wiggle your way out of your vehicle to avoid smacking someone's door. And of course avoiding the whole getting your door to an uneay standstill an inch or two away from the car next to yours- you start to get out and a gust of wind plows the door into the car next to yours- and the 7 ft tall angry man that was in the car gets out, intent on covering up that nick in his paint with your blood.

They just need to swing up, and not out. That looks like some sort of batmobile concept.

 

Yeah, the "lambo" doors on that one are pretty ghetto looking. Don't appear to swing up high enough and they are flipped ******ds slightly. Sort of what the guy above me said, I'm not going to pull the "Ricer Card" on someone if they were able to successfully do this mod. I've seen a couple pics of what appeared to be nice installs of them but the photo's were pretty blurry or too small. It'd be great to not have to worry about the doors accidentally slamming in to things.

I'm not going to spend $2000+ for the doors but if I were able to fabricate a set for say $750 max, then I'd be up for it.

I really liked the 20 inch rims they really look great on an fbody....
But at least he admits the car is slow, and has no plans of messing with the v6....

They swing out almost as much as up since they are a butterfly kit, not a true lambo door conversion. he also reported the kit he got is motoroized and the company is less than helpful in helping him resolve the little problem of the motors burning out.

 

He also said the kit wasn't made for the car--why should the company help him, when he's obviously not installing them correctly? (Not made for that car)

 

Mystic Teal i was about to pull the "stock card" out until i saw your hood...um...no i would never intentionally make fun of someones ride...why? for the simple fact that i dont drive it...granted his doors are not great but i do respect that he is doing something different other than throwing torque thrust ii rims on it, or leaving it stock and saying anything done to an f-body deserves the "ricer card"

i guess what im trying to say is lets just all get along and not say that anyother f-body owners car sucks, because he drives it NOT YOU!!!
