Arrow Yet another opinion post on Hoods

Ok so i know this has been posted SO many times before but now its my turn anyway my birthday is coming up and im sure to get money(lots of it too) so my next mod is the SS hood and the 35th annv stripes. Now the SS hood is pretty much a sure thing unless you guys show me pics of better hoods and change my mind. the stripes are still on the questionable side simply because im dreading putting the stripes on and messing them up. Im probably gonna get my front bumper repainted or get a new one and have it painted...is there gonna be any fitment problems with an aftermarket bumper or should it fit fine? Anyway i'll keep you guys posted when i get the money and i'll post pics A.S.A.P.

P.S let me see some nice lookin hoods.

I was considering the SS hood but I also wanted a different look from factory Camaro's. I got the Z-Roc hood which has it's similarities and differences. Pics

Wow that looks nice!
How does it look from the inside out? Is it functional like the ss hood?

Here is something like what it would look like from the inside.

It's not a functional ram air hood but assuming you put money into it, it could be made like one.

I don't see many LT1's around here with the SS hood. I got the American Sports Car Design hood from www.ls1speed.com and the quality was great. There were no dings or scratches. I paid about 800 for it, but that was with Insurance money!

Stripes

Earlier this summer a friend and I put the 30th anniv. stripes on my camaro and it was a pain in the @$$. If you are dead set on doing it do a LOT of research first. Have you ever done any thing like this before? If not don't let this be your first. The only tip I have for ya is to let the stripes lay out in the sun for a while first. The hood is the biggest PITA. The stripes are flat and don't like the curve of the SS scoop on the hood. I got 4 creases when I did mine. Just my .02

The SS hoods are extremely popular. As for the stripes, if you don't have patience I would have a shop take care of that for you. You'll enjoy them more with alot less stress
