Smile WS6 Style Camaro Hood

I was online last night looking at stuff for my car, when I see this cool looking hood. Now, it's a WS6 hood on Camaro. I like being different and I am getting tired of seeing every other Z28 or SS look the same as me. No offense of course . I'm wondering if I should trade in my stock SS hood for this one.

That's the USBody Ram Air II hood. I considered buying one before I got my big block hood. Then I heard all the horror stories. Waaay too many people say that it comes in ****-poor condition and required a minimum of $1000 worth of body work to get it to look good.

After doing a little research I found a super chevy article that featured this hood. They said good things about it. I'm looking for the link. Anyone have this hood?

By the way, the boys at FTForce say they haven't yet done an install on it, but they have not heard anything back from those they sold it to so far...

I have this hood for my 97 Trans Am. It came in alright condition. Just had to grind it down in certain areas. The fit wasn't all that bad. But now my headlights grind the hood when I turn them on. I grinded that down too but I guess not enough. Just haven't got back to grinding sonce then. Here's a link to a pic of my car. http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...page_id=235088

ive got the same hood for my 94 yellow T/A and the quality wasnt to good but is pretty much expected when working with fiberglass
only part i had a problem with is on the wiper cowl, i had to grind about 1 inch off the back of the hood
you cant beat the looks of the hood though

I think that hood would look awesome on an SS especially in black.... BUT I am partial, my Z is black. Actually my choice in WS6 hoods is the 96/97 version, unfortunately no one makes one just like that for my car or I'd be very tempted!

PLEASE!!! Racechick!!! 1st dibs on your SS hood if you do buy a WS6 hood though!!!! It would bolt right up and look GREAT on my car with my '02 SS wheels, & '69 Z/28 emblems.... a real hybrid ha ha!

That hood looks good on that 93-97 Camaro!
It looks like it would take a lot of work though.

One thing I have learned on this board though, is that when something bad is said about a product at least 3x, you should worry somewhat.

I do like it! I wouldn't mind having that...

But, w/ all the warnings...I think I would rather keep my cowl

Good luck racechick, and post pics if you get that hood
