Would this be too much??
Well ,I have black inserts on the bird on the front bumper and on the PONTIAC in the back and I might do the Trans Am on the door with maybe some G2 fender stripes and black calipers with silver Trans Am stickers in them. So do you think that is just too much?? I've seen a few black cars with alot of yellow stickers and stuff and wow that was just to much, also heve seen some black cars with some red stickers and that was better but still seemed like to much. The black stickers on my car just seem to look very natural so I don't think it will look gaudy, I might just get rid of the TA on the door altogather that would help it look more natural and go with the G2's on the fender......What do 'yall think???
I have put G2s on the fenders of both of my cars and I think they look great. I agree you might want to take the tans am on the doors off. This would give it a cleaner look and make the G2s stick out a little more. I think you'll be happy with this kind off approach.
SOM is a sharp color for TAs IMO. Pewter is nice too, but a black Trans Am is close to cultural icon.
I wouldn't do caliper trim in silver. If you could find an orange somewhat close to your car's paint, for the vinyl overlay on the caliper, that would catch my eye for sure. If you kept the "Trans Am" on the doors, I'd cover it with black vinyl to match the rest. Custom black center caps with an orange firebird rounds out the deal. I don't think the racing stripes go with the lines (well, curves) and shape of the car.
It's totally a matter of opinion though.

Thanks guys!! On the caliper I for shure don't want to try and match the paint, my reason being I don't want any thing to really "catch" the eye, I just want things to look natural and sleek and kinda make you look for things insted of them grabbing your eye, when I start on the engine compartment every wire and wire loom will be black and hidden the best I can do...no orange or yellow wire looms or painted air box stuff, just very simple with maybe a few polished parts to give it a little something to look at
