This is an e mail that I sent to Foose design.

To whom it may concern,

I am a huge fan of Overhaulin as well as a hot rod enthusiast. I am currently restoring my car and I get a lot of ideas from Chip and his team. The only thing I do not have figured out is paint. I was wondering if it is at all possible for Chip or one of his designers to draw me up a sketch of how he would paint my car if he were designing it. I don't have the artistic ability to do this myself, but I love everything that Chip and the Foose team comes up with.

My car is an 86 Camaro that will end up looking like a stock 92 camaro (includes the aero ground kit and the high rise wing. It will be lowered and have a tear drop hood scoop.

Can you guys do this for me??

im sure he would do it....if you paypal'd him enough money. He seems like a nice guy and all, but im sure he lives by like alot of other peoples' motto's of "time is money"

It'd be great if he did but realisticaly, not a chance in he!!.

Look how busy they are just on television, I doubt your e-mail would get more than a two second glance from an intern.

Not because they seem like d!cks, just because they are very upper-end and busy.

Best case scenario, they restore someone else's third-gen and you can copy it.

I say paint the car Electron Blue (off the C5 Z06 cars), it's the new red in my opinion (see my avatar) .

Keep the headlight buckets and grille gloss black. No need for queer graphics. Throw some '69 style Z28 badges on it if you must.

If you have to have some flare do a set of 25th Anniv. stripes in a gunmetal grey or silver.

If you don't like blue then go with Viper Steel Grey with a lighter silver set of 25th stripes (or even the inverse of that would look cool).

What rims are you going with?

 

that guy is at the top of the game right now, and if you have seen overhaulin you will know many nights he sleeps at the shop. doubt he is gonna sketch something for free

 

Yeh, I am doubtful that I will get any results as well. Like everyone said, He is at the top of his game and I am not sure if any of the team, let alone Chip himself would have any time for this piddly sh*t when he is building hot rods for rockstars. I figured its worth a shot though. I will let you guys know if I get anything.

I was also wondering if Chip would ever design a paint scheme for my Impala, but I just assumed that either there is no chance or it would cost quite a bit of money. But I wish he would because he is a genius and I love his work.

 

Not to mention he probably gets hundreds of emails just like that every day.
