Wiper Blade Recommendations

I HATE my wiper blade.. I believe they are stock... they are loud, and do a lousy job.

Anyone have any brands to suggest as replacments?

Thanks!

I just ordered a new pair of factory wiper blades for mine! Sure they're a little pricey, but they worked well for me for 2 full years, and nearly ~65,000 kms. If it weren't for the fact that 1 of the blades stuck to the window on a hot day and ripped a bit of the blade off when I tried lifting it (to wash the window) then I'd probably keep these blades even longer! BUT, since I do need to replace 1, I might as well do 2.

FWIW, I wouldn't even waste my money buying any blades from Crappy Tire.....I went through 2 sets of blades with my old Sunfire trying to find something that worked good (and they only used 22" and 17"). Considering the Camaro uses two 24" blades, these factory ones did the job well.

What are wiper blades???????

RainX all the way... I have NEVER used my wipers since I bought the car... not that it sees rain that often either, but still.

Hell, I don't even use my wipers on my winter-beater except for winter time. For rain in the summer, the RainX takes care of it all.

Heck, neither my dad on his street-rod, nor my brother on his truck even have wiper blades installed on their vechiles.

I have wiper blades on my car now?

I guess when you never drive in the rain you never think about them.

Does RainX really work THAT well? What exactly happens?? I mean.. it can rain pretty hard here sometimes. Does RainX keep it clear? I HATE using my wiper blades... but sometimes I just have no choice.

I don't even know if we have RainX up here Maybe Napa has it

So if the stock ones work well.. what the hell is wrong with mine? Everytime after I lift up the driver side blade and put it back down.. I have to "adjust it" and by that I mean pull up on the hindge so the blade stays down.. otherwize, I go to use it on the highway in rain.. and I can see anything in front of me untill I pull over and fix it! It's really dangerous actually.

And they are loud!! If it's not pouring rain (enough water on the glass to "lubricate" the blades ) then it is literaly the sound of dragging rubber over dry glass (obviously) but my other car doesn't do that.. so it's like my blades are down too tight or something...

So besides RainX (which I'm going to try) are the stocker blades the best?

Thanks!

Just find a blade that actually fits!

I had to buy and return different blades because the retards at Pep Boys must've given me 3 gen blades because they didn't fit!

Advance Auto parts > Pep Boys

I think they are 9.99 a piece ...

They've been on my car over 6 months w/ no problems to date !!!

I went to O'reilly's....got the cheap store brand for $4 and they work great. I don't think they'll last forever, but I also have Rain-X.

I would be worried about having no blades though. You aren't going to get a leaf (etc) off your windshield with Rain-X.

Just my $.02

My dad has a set of silicon-impregnated wiper blades on his Durango that he got from Pep Boys. They are incredible, absolutely silent. It's kinda trippy watching your wipers go, its like you put them on mute or something.

When I put new ones on my car soon, those are definitely what I'm putting on there, assuming they sell some that will fit.

I just finished putting some Rain X on... I think it is suppose to rain later, all though I hope it doesn't. But I'll get to test it out.

Thanks for the help guys. Oh.. and btw, the wiper blade covers... can you only get those at GM? Mine is broken...

If you are talking about the air deflector, it looks like its part of the arm assembly... Not sure, check with dealership....
