Windshield (front window) Tint?
my doc gave me a prescription for tint, so im getting my windows retinted and want to tint the winsdhield.
Ive got 15% on the back now and i think 20-25 on the sides, its dark but not as dark as i would like. My front has no tint.
Anyone here have there front window tinted?
how dark can you go and still be able to see good enough at night? how hard was it to do?, im sure the shop is gonna see the angle of the windsheild and think im insane
I think ill go 5% on the back and 15% on the sides, i figure if the tint is high enough quality +new i shouldnt have a harder time seeing out than with the old stuff i have now...
...but the front ,i have no clue

I sat in a friend's show car with 5% tint on the front windshield and double 5% everywhere else. It was ridiculous. Honestly, the tint on the sides and back weren't THAT bad, but the 5% on the windshield made it sooooo hard to drive. I would go with 15% tint on the windshield at the most.....every little bit of light counts....and be sure to upgrade your lighting while you're at it
35% at least on the front.
At night - 35% sides look somewhat dark...I wouldn't want my front to be dark at all...but if you are gonna do it - make it as high as you can go and still be REMOTELY satisifed with how it looks.
Your windshield and the visibility out of it will make the difference of if you wreck or not trying to tell which way the road goes. Your car wouldn't look too hot wrecked - so sacrifice as much as you can on the tint.

5% on the back, 5% on the sides, and 35% or a lil bit higher on the front window, At night or in the rain - the true darkness comes out and with 5% on the sides n back, believe me, It gets dark quick !
I've got a 5% tint strip on my front window about 8-10 inchs down with 20% on the sides and 5% in the back, Its as dark 5% all around at night or in the rain...

Any pics keith? Ive thought about strips since i only look out the center of the window , with the exception of looking at stoplights.
35% ? do you guys really think i could go that dark and still see ok?, i figured i would hear 50% or 75%
The idea is i need to block out as much sun as possible since im paralized and dont sweat, cant regulate body temp, sun sensitive skin..etc.
the look of the car is important, but not if i cant drive it, whether thats from not being able to see or having the sun kill me. Guess i need to find a balence...i would rather not do trial and error...hopefully someone here already has
