will a 1998 ss hood work on a 1997?

I was wondering if a 1998 style ss hood would work on a 1997, anbd if it would, would it look tacky? any thoughts?

The hood doesn't flow right with the 93-97 quarterpanels and won't look good even if you got it to fit.
