When powdercoating your calipers?

Basically it destroys all the seals correct? So you would need to rebuild them and what not...can you just pick up a rebuild kit at the parts store?
How much?
How difficult?

When powdercaoting them, you should completley disassemble the entire caliper. The only part being coated is the main chassis and the caliper mount. Once it's powdercoated, you can rebuild it using all new parts

Why not just use engine paint. Ive painted all my calipers with it with no problems. Add two coats and its just as good as powdercoating.

just looking at my options, and the ones I have are painted, by the way, with no problems, but when I upgrade brakes I would like to go ahead and get something more durable

When I powder coated mine, I forgot to keep the lines up or something. They were @ the coater so long, when they came back, my brake system had totally drained. Just a warning.
