Wheels and tires

Hello I have a 1997 Silver T/A I'm going to get a set of:
Boyd Coddingtons Wheels 17x9.5
Give me your opinion on these, but my question is what tire to go with:

Firestone Firehawk SZ50
or
BF GoodRich Comp T/A's

Please help me decide which tire to go with, and tell me if you think the wheels will look good.

Thanks
Elvis

I had a set of the Firestones on my '91 Vette with 17*9.5 wheels. They were probably the best tire I put on the car (vs. Dunlops & Goodyears). No fear of rain, which is important with a 275/40. The only thing that may annoy you, and this isn't necessarily tire specific, but with 275s up front, your car will wander in the road grooves. I got about 35K miles out of both sets of Firestones I had on my Vette.

I have Kumhos on my Z and like them just fine. No experience with BFGs on sports cars.

Those Firehawks are exactly what I decided to get for my new ZR1's this week. The reviews have all been very positive, with dry traction being equal and wet traction far supeior to the rest.
