Wheels!!! Help

I am looking at getting a wheel that is a 5x120 witha 40mm offset. I have been told that the bolt pattern on a 97 camaro is a 5x120.65 or a 5x4 &3/4. Supposedly the 5x4 & 3/4 is a direct swap for a 5x120. I need to know these wheels will fit before i order them. Please someone help me here.

Question

The 5x120.65mm bolt pattern is equivalent to the 5x4.75" bolt pattern.

To find out if the 40mm offset will work, we need to know the width of the rim you are trying to use.

the rim will be a 18x9. with a 40 mm offset the offset should be fine. a camaro has a fwd offest and can use anything between a 35 and a 45.. so that shouldnt be a big deal.. if the bolt pattern will fit it should work.. thanks alot.. i will be ordering within the next few days..

Yea, 40 mm will be just fine..... see this page for more info about offsets

http://www.skulte.com/adapterfaq.html

Notice almost to the bottom of the list there is a 9" wide wheel they call the "Camaro F1 ZR1-style". They list the offset as 50mm. So your 40mm offset rims will "stick out" 10mm more than that example, which IMO will look really good because it gives the tires that widestance look.

good luck with it.
