Wheels, gimme your honest opinions!

Ok guyz i'm wheel shopping! I can't make up my mind as to what looks hot, i have a bunch on my mind and i see a new set everyday that have potential. The reason i posted this in here is cuz you guyz have the most opinions and i like that.

Now one major factor is that my car is Medium Orange Metallic in color, dont ask my why but theres rims that i like and i think they'd look bad on my car just becuase of the color, here's a picture of my car as is so maybe you can get a mental ideal of it with rims.
Pic 1
Pic2
All that i ask for is a 17x9.5" rim and it has to be chrome or polished!!
So far this is what i looked at and like:
  • Torque Thrust II
  • 5-spoke SS wheels
  • 10-spoke SS wheels (seen them in GMHTP on a 3rd Gen)
  • 5-spoke "Thin" C5 wheels
  • Cobra R wheels (seen them on a 4th Gen and loved them)

Now tell me what you like!! If theres any others i haven't mentioned that you like alot post it or even better post pix!! Thanx alot guyz, Mike

PS. Also one quick question:
Are Relocation brackets for the LCA's only used for cars that have lower springs or are they better for any car to use? I do plan on buying the Eiback Pro Kit springs which lower it 1 inch, but not till after i do the LCA's and i want to know if i should wait with the relocation brackets till i do the drop. Thanx again!

You should ask this in the appearance section.

I like the cobra rims and the 5 spoke SS ones.

What he meant above was that this post belongs in the "Appearance Forum" section of Camaroz28.com not "LT1 Tech Forum". You will get more responses to this post in that forum. This forum is for mechanical LT1 questions.

Anyway, I have the AFS ZR1 "SS" replicas 17 X 9.5 all around. If I had to buy wheels again, I would definitely consider the Torque Thrust wheels! This is on a 4th gen though.

Go with BOYD CODDINGTONS they are nice. I have the shysters on my 95 formula. I have recieved numerous compliments. They are highly polished, many people mistake them for chrome.

Oops. I meant the ZR-1 type 5 spoke. They just seem to blend with the car very well, and look pretty mean.

ZR1 5-Spoke Chrome (same as the 97SS, but chrome)

I believe that the fewer spokes, the better you can see them when you are cruising. Too many spokes and they seem to blurr. JMHO

Are you gonna go with 4th gen wheels and use spacers on the rear?
I'm looking for some 17s for My Iroc also. And I'm leaning towards the 4th gens. Probably ZR1s

Yes i would have to use Spacers on the wheels, i'm not fond of that but theres no way around it

I think i'm leaning twards the Cobra R wheels, there very different, i dont know of any 3rd Gen Camaro's that use these and i only know of one 4th Gen (Beast96Z) that runs them, and quite frankly they look hot, but the ZR1's are also in the back of my head. Whatcha think?

I think Cobra R rims look nice......on every other Mustang GT I see around here I just don't get the idea of putting Mustang rims on an F-body though, it just doesn't seem right to me but to each his own.

Go with the ZR1's, I think they look sweet on 3rd Gens
