Wheel questions

Firstly I'm looking for some help on some wheel questions.

So who are the high end wheel makers.

HRE, Fiske and I Forge are all pretty pricey.

Boyd Coddington has some forged wheels at more respectable prices. ($570 verssus $1000 for the others in an 18 *10)

Any others to consider.

Next Q? What is the differance between 2 piece and 3 piece? I REALLY want a chrome wheel and you never seem to see chromed 2 / 3 piece wheels. Any reason?

2 piece is when the spokes bolt to the rim

3 piece is when the spokes are sandwiched in between a rim that is in 2 pieces kinda like how the little brackets are arranged below

rim<>spokes<>rim
]<> |<> [

I'm pretty sure that's how it is...correct me if I'm wrong

I never realized until you said you haven't seen chrome wheels that there wasn't any
Sorry, I don't know prolly has something to do with the chrome chipping when it's bolted together

The only reason I know of that 3 or 2 pieced wheels are good is because if you mess up a part of a wheel, you can just have the part of the wheel replaced instead of the entire wheel and that if you decided to change the offset or width you can send it off to get different widths or centers installed

So no other companies come to mind for some custom made wheels?

I think Boyd's are the best value it would seem
