What tire sizes will fit on a 17x9.5" rim?
What are all my options for a 17x9.5" rim, I have 275/40/17's on the rear and I need something for upfront. I would like to get a tire that won't cause alot of "tramling"

probably the smallest you would want to go on a 9.5" wide rim would be 255/45/17. This is very close to the overall diameter of the 275/40/17 and is 20mm skinnier.
You might be able to get a 245/45/17 on a 9.5 inch rim but personally I wouldn't recommend it.

"Signifigantly less"? Nope. You may not even notice it really.
The tramlining just comes with the territory. If you want a car with wide meats you just gotta live with their handling characteristics.

Thanks caspergotaz28! i'll probably just go with the 275's since i'm going to get tramling with either tire and i'd rather have the performance and looks of the 275 (especially since its only $7 more a tire then the 255's on www.tirerack.com)
