Re: what are some good mods

you can always really major change the look with changing the rims.. maybe c5 or zr-1?? depends on what you like.. you can look for used body kits also the other best thing you can do is change the exhaust... flowmaster or magnaflow or borla... those are just a few

good luck!

yeah man, keep it clean. SS spoiler, rims (keep em below 19's), lower it, stripes if you are into that, a nice hood (cowl, SS, etc.) K&N cai. exhaust.

here's a few websites to get ya started:
http://www.lmperformance.com/
http://www.slponline.com/
http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/
and there is always http://www.ebay.com/

Re: what are some good mods

I got my SS hood from suncoast creations. It fit very well and the tiny problem I did have was resolved with a phone call to a very knowledgeable staff. As for exhaust you cant really go wrong with Borla, Corsa or the cheapest of the bunch Magnaflow. I got my SS spoiler from the spoiler company on Ebay. I think it looks pretty good and they will paint it for you also. Its $170 with free shipping not sure on price to paint it. OEwheelsllc on ebay or on the web is a good place for new repro rims and tire packages. I also love my SLP CAI. But I must advise against using Fbody motor sports. It took me a few months to get my CAI from them and I only got it after filing a complaint with the BBB. Some people have used them with luck But I found many out there with the same issues I had. Just my 2 cents. Have fun

Re: what are some good mods

everything posted above is all true.. if you really want to be patient and save a lot of money you can check craiglist for the parts you need... I got my Flowmaster muffler and dual 24" tips for $75 and the rims with tires for $300. It does take a while though to find exactly what you are looking for but it does pay off, just decide on if you want to do it all at once and pay a little higher or piece by piece over time.

Good Luck!

Re: what are some good mods

Its slightly higher- the high-rise isn't too popular anymore IMO...

Slightly lower it, pulling your door molding will also clean it up.

Re: what are some good mods

The SS spoiler I was talking about is the LS1 years with the 2 supports in the middle. Looks like a stock SS spoiler. I left the trim on my car. I was going to pull it but like you said I was not sure what the paint underneath looked like. Plus it is a pain to get all the sticky tape they use off. Putting it on would be easy if you did not damage it while removing it. Take your time and get what you want the first time. I have been doing mine for over 2 years and still have a few things I want to do. I put shorty headers last winter only to remove them this year for long tubes. Waste of money and time(shortys) Take it slow and have fun.

Re: what are some good mods

Easiest way to pull the trim off is let your car sit in the sun and use some fishing line behind it. Then just be careful pulling off the adhesive- either use your finger and rub the adhesive off, or you can get an 'eraser wheel' that takes it right off.

Re: what are some good mods

Trust me when you pull off the trim you will not want to put it back on. Looks so much clearer with it off and a must free mod for a f-body camaro
