What are some diff. of 96 and 97 z28

I don't think it was an option...it was just sometime through the '97 model year that they switched from analog to digital.


I personally like everything about the 97's better. the tail lights for me can go either way...the 93-96 go better with the body lines, but the amber in the 97-02 spices up the back a bit.

In your case I would take the 96 with less miles and the hard top. if you decide you want t tops (and don't want to do a t top conversion) find a 97 with t tops...shouldn't take too long to find a nice one. don't limit yourself to these two cars if neither is exactly what you want. 120k miles is not horrible, but i think the overall feel of the 75k mile car versus the 120k mile car will be noticable. like you said the leather in the 97 is all torn up. the leather on the side bolster in my 96 was worn and developed a 1/4" tear by the time i sold it, but was still nice. you can tell a lot about the care the car has had by the interior..

No RPO Code for the analog odo. Just had them on earlier 97's. Mines seq. #3768, VIN 2G1FP32P5V2103768 build date was in Jul. 96.
